Welcome to your student life in Singapore Polytechnic!

Congratulations! We are excited to have you join us!

Freshman Orientation Program (FOP) is a compulsory program and the most important event for new students. In the space of a week before the start of the academic year, you will be oriented on the use of all the important SP e-services and enjoy a tour of your school facilities during your half-day orientation program in SP. You will also meet your new classmates and personal tutors so you do not feel so alone on your first day of school!

Important things to do before coming to school

Please refer to your offer email for your admission number in order to perform some of the following tasks.

3. Class Assignment

Click to find your class assignment or login into > e-Services/e-Resources > Personal > My Info

4. Complete SPICE Essentials Training

Click to connect to the SPICE Essentials Training page on the e-Learning platform, also known as Blackboard (please use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge). Learn to connect to SP Student wireless and get up to speed with essential SP e-Services.

You need to log in with your iChat account to watch the videos from your laptop or mobile phone (e.g. You have to complete all the modules on BlackBoard at your own time during the FOP week.

5. Download our Apps

SP Mobile App – Download and install the SP Mobile app to access all the essential tools you need.

SP AR Map – Download the mobile app (Android and iOS) for the SP AR Map to get around SP campus. This app uses augmented reality (AR) to guide you to your destination.

6. Update Pre-SP CCA Record

Click to update your pre-SP CCA record or go to > e-Services/e-Resources (for Students) > CCA > Pre-SP CCA

7. Set up SP Library pin

Discover how easy it is to connect to library resources, services & facilities. Set your Library PIN so you can borrow books, magazines and more.

8. SP Cares

Be part of #SPCares by bringing food items such as rice, canned meat, bread spread to give to Food from The Heart.  See below for more information.

9. Complete WSH Awareness Training on “Campus Safety & Health – Our Responsibility AY2021-2022”

2. Log in using your ichat account to watch the materials in Articulate Rise from your laptop or mobile phone (e.g.

4. Select “WSH Communication Kit (For Year 1 Students) AY2021-2022” option under My Organizations
5. Select “Learning Resources”
6. Click the module on “Campus Health and Safety : Our Responsibility (AY2021-2022)”

You have to complete this module on BlackBoard at your own time during the FOP week.

School Programs

To enhance the protection of our school students and staff against the Covid-19 infection, MOE had earlier announced additional precautionary measures to minimise congregation of students in large numbers, including the suspension of large group and communal activities such as assemblies, camps and mass celebrations. As such, orientation will take place on a smaller scale.

If you are coming to SP by private transport, please drop off at the Dover MRT Station driveway.

Freshman Orientation Camps

Worried of being alone on the first day of school? Having school jitters? Why not kick start your poly life with our Freshman Orientation (FO) camps organized by Singapore Polytechnic Students’ Union, the academic school clubs and its optional constituent clubs? Get a sneak peek into the exciting side of Poly life and make some friends before school starts.

SP Cares

As part of our SP core values, we encourage students to serve the community in many ways, through our various local community and overseas service learning projects. And to kick start your journey, all Freshmen will be participating in SP Cares as part of your Orientation Program.

CCA Carnival

As you embark on your exhilarating journey in SP, you will forge new friendships and garner new experiences that will last you a lifetime.

From exciting treks with the Adventurers, rowing with our champion Dragon Boaters, and shining like a star under the bright lights of the stage, we have over 100 student clubs and sports teams. We are sure you will find one to call your own! Join our online CCA carnival taking place from 14 to 16 April to find out more!
